rolling up our "sleeves"
our most "faq" at this stage of the game has been "What are you doing now?" or "When are your services?" at this time in the life of the church, it may not appear that there is much happening. we know from the first time around in la crosse that it is very important to have your feet somewhat on the ground before you begin to run, so that is what we are doing...
getting to know our neighbors, juli is recovering from a grueling 7 week orientation back into the medical field, sam and spencer making friends at school, gene networking with area ministers...
but we did however hold our first "dream team" meeting.
it was a tuesday morning at the COFFEE GALLERIE near our home. the atmosphere electric. the coffee steaming. the creative juices flowing...as all those in attendance began to share ideas and dreams about what this new church in madison may look like. when the meeting was adjourned, gene and juli had together come up with a list of about 400 things to do, 20 milestones and first on the list: meet some people.
the 400 things - not a joke...anyone considering moving to madison?

I've never responded to a blog before! This is exciting! Thank you Gene and Juli for the update. I pray a security blanket of protection around your family! The blanket looks like a bright red and orange and black color with designs of straight lines and a mountain with lots of hands and feet! The texture of this blanket is the most soft wool! Impervious to cold and rain! You are all so lovely! J
