from "ground zero" to Lake Mills in a bright yellow mustang

well, today the second of two "team" meetings. gene and i found ourselves at "GROUND ZERO" sampling some "atomic coffee". nice place. (not good scone)

we picked through our 400+ things to do in an effort to come up with more manageable goals - coming back to this: we need to meet some people. we need to get to know the people we are meeting. we need to find out if any of the people we do know would like to join us in madison.

we are pounding out a strategy all the while wanting to remain completely relational and organic in our approach to church planting- this is a challenge.

so, there it is.

please continue to pray for us as we take these initial steps, we only want to go in the direction God would lead us and not run ahead of Him. Relational - takes time. just like finding that perfect coffee house.

Another great thing about today: I got to go to a meeting of area "pastor's wives". Some of these women I was just meeting for the first time, some I was getting to see again after being in Illinois for a couple years. It was a privelage to get to gather with these women.

It also was not the typical wives meeting - first there was no chocolate, and no berries. Second, we actually got something done. But, I should have known that this night was special when I showed up at our District Executive Minister's house to catch a ride with Cynthia Perry and there was a bright yellow mustang waiting in the garage to hot rod us to Lake Mills in style. yeah, baby. BUCKLE UP!
