a new church plant in verona, wi.

starbucks has a coffee that beautifully describes the work of church planting:

Caffè Verona: a versatile, complex blend. Key term: Complex
From many lands, one blend every bean carries a distinctive taste particular to origin. By carefully blending beans....an interesting interplay of aromas and flavors is created .

the incredible thing God does when He brings together a group of people for His purposes. some searching. some convinced. some looking for a place to connect. some curious. all come together to figure it out together. it beautiful and it's bold. GO GOD!

living hope church will hold a "launch service" (the first public sunday morning worship time) on October 9th. the reynolds fam has joined up with the launch team there because it sounded fun to serve there until we are meeting on sundays in madison. sam and spencer get to see what it might look like when we begin meeting on sundays. they get to find out how they enjoy serving. they get to see what it may be like before all the other kids show up.

today spencer enjoyed the set up - putting
bibles, pens and paper out on the tables. sam, being the oldest, was very helpful in keeping all the kids busy and helping to set up the kids room.

my hero for the week: mary ann montague. church planter in verona,wi. mom of brody and dexter and ruby (on the way). married to josh, also church planter. mary ann is in charge of creating a place for the kids to gather and learn and worship, she is in charge of hospitality, much of set up, purchasing and whatever else she does behind the scenes with josh. she has a passion for bringing the women together for times that will help them to grow spiritually - they meet weekly for prayer and study at a local coffee shop and i hear they close the place down every week. she does all of this while raising two small boys and preparing to bring a little girl into the family. wow. must i continue on about why she is my hero of the week? it's an honor to cross paths with such a servant of jesus.
