It's fairly crazy that we are planting a church again. However, I can't imagine doing it without the perspective we have gained over the years. The realization that God is always at work and He is unfolding His plan even when we can't see it. I was reminded of this as I was reading an update from a church planter in Florida, Kendal Anderson, who is planting his second church right now. He wrote that it will be fun a year from now to look back and see how God pulled everything together.
I echo his words. It will be fun a year from now to look back and see how God pulled things together. What makes this plant so different to me from La Crosse is that I was young and too naive to know just how difficult it is to start a new church in a new city when you are starting from scratch. It's challenging enough to make some new friends let alone, start a life-changing, kingdo m minded, reproducing church. However, God reminded me a couple of weeks ago that no matter how bad we want this to happen, He wants it even more. So . . . if we can play some part in the unfolding of His plan, it's nothing less than an honor. It's going to to fun to look back a year from now and see how God pulled this all together.
