our dependence

I have received several emails over the past couple days reminding us that there are people out there praying for us. THANK YOU! We have many meetings and conversations that all lead back to the same place...if God isn't in it, it's not going to happen. We depend on God, what a great place to be, right!

Feb.1 we will begin a discussion group in our home. We plan to meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesday for conversations that will deal with spiritual growth, possibly reading through the book of John. We have 11 adults that have either already expressed interest or may be interested if invited. Please pray that we would hear from God, for wisdom and insight as we set out on a journey with our new friends.

We have several really great ideas for ways to serve our community. We need God's guidance on specifically what to pursue. Some ideas... a VBS for kids in the community hosted at the community center, neighborhood cleanup, habitat for humanity house, community garden. We have a list of ideas, now just need guidance on what to pursue and for the resources to pursue them with. (looking for mission trip?)

Please pray that we would find favor in our community as we meet with community leaders as well as our neighbors. We are asking God to show us where He wants us to serve and then to use us to do His work, to be vessels of His love.

We are so grateful for the network of support God has established for this new church in Madison. We are currently at 100% of our support raising goal for the year. (to Aug. 1) Please continue to pray for us as resources seem to be a constant challenge. (Many of you can relate, I'm sure.) Again, as we depend on God and He is faithful.

We serve a faithful and merciful God. We would not trade a second of the times of not knowing how or when or where. The journey is worth it. The Reynolds fam is grateful that we are not alone on this journey. Thanks for praying.

What adventure is God guiding you into? We'd love to hear your story too.
