merry christmas from the reynolds fam

This is Gene just waiting for guests from the neighborhood to join us in our first Christmas Open House. Sam and I went door to door the weekend prior inviting the neighbors, Gene spent two days preparing food - it was a great excuse to get the house cleaned..now we wait to see if anyone would show up.
The night turned out great. We had almost 30 people here from 4:30 until 7 - some had never met, many just hadn't seen each other in quite a while. It seemed that everyone enjoyed the evening and there was talk of getting together more often. One lady asked as she was leaving if I wanted to be the president of our neighborhood organization. (I think that means I would also be founder of this organization.) Anyway, it was a great evening.

While this week has been on the lonely side personally for the Reynolds fam - missing family and friends, missing my Grandma and Gene's dad - we have had a great time honoring the Advent together. We are waiting for Christmas to be here...waiting for this church to begin to take shape...waiting....waiting...waiting for Jesus.

We also have had a fantastic week of relationship building and networking. We are learning much about this city from the natives. We are having a blast.

Merry Christmas!

Pat Hill! We were just talking about you yesterday! Would you send us your email and we can get in touch. We were wondering how the Hill family is and wondering what the kids were up to these day.

Great to hear from you!
